In what was expected to be some questionable weather, we got lucky both days, as the rain was nowhere to be found once the meet was underway.
On Friday evening, in the M1500m, Dan Nehnevaj finished 25th of the 53 entrants in a time of 4:22.69.
Saturday morning had everyone on the track at 10am for the 5000m RW. Dan lead all but the first lap, coming home in 22:19.06, exactly 1 minute ahead of 2nd place. Alejandro Fernandez made it back to back record setting weekends, with his 4th place time of 28:55.87 setting a new M30-34 standard.
In the women’s race, Stefanie Meacham came through in 5th place, with a time of 31:45.31 in her outdoor season debut. Andrea Easterday followed in 6th place, finishing in 34:56.55. Andrea’s time ranks her as World #1 in the W40-44 age group as of 3/25.
