  • 2024 A Year Of Excellence The Raleigh Walkers take home 4 Athlete of the Year Awards from the USATF Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Congrats to Ivonne, Michael, Andrea & Rachel for their exceptional year on the road and track.
  • Let's meet sometime from Wed evening - Sat morning to go over our plan. I appreciate your support!
  • ROSTER ADDITION! Rachel Chapla, who competed in the 2024 USA Olympic Trials 20 km Race Walk, has joined the Raleigh Walkers. Rachel has begun her training for the 2025 season with the hope of an early spring debut, as she looks to earn a spot on Team USA.
  • I am officially announcing my Candidacy for Race Walk Committee Vice Chair and asking for your support when voting occurs on Dec 7 in Orlando. My platform includes implementing a comprehensive business plan to grow our event nationally, providing active engagement and communication with everyone and also operating with transparency so that athletes, coaches & officials are all aware of the decisions being made and the reasons for them.
  • Dan Nehnevaj Places 4th In Lusatian International 20km In a return to injury-free form, Dan (#66 in red) achieved his best international placing ever & his fastest time since 2022, to finish the World Athletics Silver Level Tour event in a time of 1:29:36. The event also featured a new US record at 35 km by Nick Christie (NYAC in white w/ red stripe), along with records at 25 & 30 km en route.
  • Fall Workout Alert!! We're starting our Fall Workouts on Sunday 10/13 at 8am. These will be weekly, weather permitting. Lace up your walking shoes and meet us there! RSVP if you'll be attending, please.
  • Armstrong Medals in Hamptons Marathon Cher Armstrong set a new Marathon PR of 3:47:32, a 10 minute best, to place 3rd in the W 35-39 division, the 17th W finisher and 107th overall.

  • Matt Makes More Medals @ Masters Matt Holtry took 4th in the 10000m run in 56:22.11 and followed that up with another 3rd in the 10000m race walk with a time of 1:22:19.19. #racewalk #run #racewalker #masterstrack
