
Raleigh Walkers members were competing in 2 states (NY & VA) and in 3 different meets (Millrose Games, SE Regional Masters & Cupid’s Chase 5 km) today. They all came back with medals, PRs and team records.
Starting at the Millrose Games, which held the USATF 1 Mile RW Champs at the Armory in NYC. Jordan Crawford was 7th overall & 3rd US finisher in a race that saw the WR broken by 9 seconds. Jordan’s time of 6:15:13 & 1500m split of 5:49.45 are new team records, besting the times of 6:20.3 & 6:04.29 by Dan Nehnevaj.

Also in NY, Cher Armstrong crushed the Cupid’s Chase 5 km, Binghamton, NY, with her 21:48, for a new team record. Cher finished as the 2nd female and 6th overall. The time is faster than her college best and only second to her HS PR.
The bulk of the medals and records occurred at the SE Regional Masters Championships at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA. 11 gold medals and 9 team records were the final tally by Patricia Clemmons, Andrea Easterday, Alexey Popov & Rebecca Garson from within the 3000m RW, 1500m RW, 60m Hurdles, Shot Put, High Jump & Long Jump.
