Julianna Wottawa has taken full advantage of national championships being held in her backyard in 2026. This time she won the U20 10000m race at Sachem North HS in a time of 1:03:53.50. She finished 6th overall in a mixed race of men and women in rainy, hot and humid conditions.
  • Happy Marathon Birthday Cher
Cher Armstrong celebrated her 40th birthday by competing in the Erie Marathon. Her time of 3:49:36 was affected by a poor choice in birthday socks, but she still managed to finish 14 of 47 in the W40-44 division and be the 100th woman overall. The greatest part of racing on the birthday that moves you up a division is setting a new age group best and team record in the process.
  • Clouse Celebrates Cat Caper
Valerie Clouse finished 2nd female and 5th overall in the walk division of the Cat Caper 5 km with a time of 38:37. The Westerville, OH event is in it’s 20th year.
  • Holtry Drops 5km Record 30 Seconds
Matt Holtry finished 2nd overall and 1st master in 21:16 at the Graham 9-11 Commemorative 5 km run. His previous best in the M45-49 division was 21:46.

On August 29th, Patricia Clemmons competed in the Hanes Throws Meet in Winston-Salem, NC, where she once again was a top performer and set 4 team records in the W65-69 division. Event results, (R) indicates team record.

Shot Put – 7.66m, Discus – 20.94m, Hammer – 22.62m (R), Javelin – 18.73m, Weight – 10.86m (R), Super Weight – 6.47m (R), Throws Pentathlon 2855 pts (R)

Valerie Clouse sped through the course at the Mental Health Matters 5 km in Cambridge, OH with a new PR of 37:55, her best time by 1:06. She finished 63rd overall and 9th in the W50-59 division.

Patricia Clemmons won 8 medals at the Potomac Valley Games in Alexandria, VA, taking home 6 gold and 2 silver in the W65-69 division. Her Javelin, Weight & Super Weight throw performances are new team records. The full breakdown of results from day 1 and 2 of the meet is below.

Day 1: Shot Put – 2nd – 7.84m; High Jump – 1st – 1.10m; Long Jump – 1st – 3.28m; Discus – 1st – 19.84m; Javelin – 1st – 22.01m

Day 2: Weight Throw – 1st – 9.82m; Super Weight Throw – 2nd – 6.13m; Triple Jump – 1st – 5.37m
  • Governor Breaks 8, Sets Record
Alexa Governor celebrated her 21st birthday with a trip to the Potomac Valley Games in Arlington, VA, where she won the Mile Race Walk in 7:52.61. This is the fastest Mile in team history and only the 2nd time anyone has broken 8 minutes. Natalie Ehlers finished in 7:57.08 at the 2020 Millrose Games during the Indoor season. The previous Outdoor record was 8:12.0 by Hannah Kisley in 2009.

Governor Breaks 8, Sets Record Alexa Governor celebrated her 21st birthday with a trip to the Potomac Valley Games in Arlington, VA, where she won the Mile Race Walk in 7:52.61.
