Best Race Walking Team in the USA Open to new members 24/7/365
  • Wottawa Wins NY Champs
Julianna Wottawa won the 3000m in the NY Championship at Icahn Stadium in a time of 18:02.89, besting her nearest competitor by almost 2:12. Next up is the USATF 10 km Championship in Hauppauge on May 31.
  • Limas and Bennett Newest Roster Additions
2 of the most accomplished and recognizable names in NAIA Race Walking over the last 4 years have joined the Raleigh Walkers to begin their post collegiate professional careers. Nathan Limas (Grand View University, Iowa) and Cole Bennett (University of the Cumberlands, Kentucky) have been a fixture at National Championships and routinely found the podium both indoors and outdoors during their collegiate years.
  • In Honor Of ... Alexey!
Alexey grabbed another silver medal in a local event, finishing in 20:24 at the In Honor of 5 km in Williamsburg, VA. His performance was first in the M 40-49 age division.
  • Dan The Man Is Back
Dan Nehnevaj returned to the podium at the Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic, winning the Half Marathon Walk in a time of 1:52:29. He finished 13:31 ahead of his nearest competitor.
  • McCorory Invite A Record Day
4 new team records were set in the infrequently raced 1500m at the Francena McCorory Invite at Reid Ross HS in Fayetteville, NC. Alejandro Fernandez (M30-35) led the way, winning overall in 8:16.62. Avery Rudolph (W17-18) was the first female and 2nd overall in 8:30.42. This was her first Race Walk competition ever. Tom Finn (M70-74), in his debut with the team, was 3rd overall in 8:51.08. Matt Holtry (M45-49) followed in 4th with a 9:21.82.

Alexey Popov finished 4th overall & 3rd male in the Run for Nicaragua 5 km race in Yorktown, VA. His time was 20:39.
  • Tom Finn Joins Team
Tom Finn, one of the premier Masters Race Walkers over the last decade in the Northeast, has joined the Raleigh Walkers after relocating to NC. We look forward to everything Tom has to offer as an experienced athlete in helping grow the team.

Alexey Popov raced to victory at the Run for the Stage 5 km in 20:22, winning by 8 seconds over his nearest rival, who was 24 years younger, with a late kick to the finish.
  • Crawford Sets New Half Marathon Best
Fresh off his excellent performance at altitude in Brazil, Jordan Crawford was back at it in Czechia in another Team USA event. On what is likely the fastest course in the world, Jordan did not disappoint in finishing 41st at the Podebrady Gold Meeting in a new best of 1:33:33, a full 5:18 improvement on his personal best and team record. In case you were wondering, that’s 7:08 mile pace walking.

Fresh off his excellent performance at altitude in Brazil, Jordan Crawford was back at it in Czechia in another Team USA event. On what is likely the fastest course in the world, Jordan did not disappoint in finishing 41st at the Podebrady Gold Meeting in a new best of 1:33:33, a full 5:18 improvement on his personal best and team record. In case you were wondering, that’s 7:08 mile pace walking.
