Saturday, February 25 on the campus of St. Anthony’s HS, Cher Armstrong and Mike Bartholomew will toe the line in the Long Island Indoor Track & Field Championships. They will be walking the 1 Mile event, which is a relative sprint for both, based upon their successes at the longer events.
It’s a homecoming of sorts for Bartholomew, as he is a 1999 graduate of the school and has often taken advantage of that to use the facilities to train when weather was less than ideal.
The first event is at 9:00am ET, and the Race Walk is the 7th event , or 11, on the schedule. You should be able to follow their race at this Meet Results link.
