Best Race Walking Team in the USA Open to new members 24/7/365
  • Eight Is Great
Patricia Clemmons won 8 medals at the Potomac Valley Games in Alexandria, VA, taking home 6 gold and 2 silver in the W65-69 division. Her Javelin, Weight & Super Weight throw performances are new team records. The full breakdown of results from day 1 and 2 of the meet is below.

Day 1: Shot Put – 2nd – 7.84m; High Jump – 1st – 1.10m; Long Jump – 1st – 3.28m; Discus – 1st – 19.84m; Javelin – 1st – 22.01m

Day 2: Weight Throw – 1st – 9.82m; Super Weight Throw – 2nd – 6.13m; Triple Jump – 1st – 5.37m
  • Governor Breaks 8, Sets Record
Alexa Governor celebrated her 21st birthday with a trip to the Potomac Valley Games in Arlington, VA, where she won the Mile Race Walk in 7:52.61. This is the fastest Mile in team history and only the 2nd time anyone has broken 8 minutes. Natalie Ehlers finished in 7:57.08 at the 2020 Millrose Games during the Indoor season. The previous Outdoor record was 8:12.0 by Hannah Kisley in 2009.
  • Dan Sets 2 Mile US Record
Dan Nehnevaj made the trip to Nazareth University in Rochester, NY to compete in an attempt to get new US and World Records at the rarely contested 2 Mile distance. The 3 ahead of him the start were Olympians Evan Dunfee (CAN), Nick Christie (US) and Perseus Karlstrom (SWE). Mid race, Dan moved into 2nd behind Karlstrom, only to be passed late by Dunfee and finish 3rd overall, setting a new US Record of 12:03.31 in the process.

  • Cher Ends Summer With Mile Record
Cher Armstrong ended her summer of track meets by setting a new team record in the mile, with a 6:19 at the TCRC Meet on 8/12. This broke her existing 6:35 time from 2025. She also turned in performances of 1:27 (400m) and 3:23 (800m) to close out her summer season.
  • Nehnevaj Wins Parkersburg Half
Dan Nehnevaj showed good progress in his climb back to elite status by winning the walk division of the Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon in 1:52:39, 32:14 ahead of the second place.
  • Holtry 10th At Downtown Rocks and Runs
Matt Holtry finished 10th at the Downtown Rocks and Runs in Mt Airy, NC. He covered the 5 km course in 21:46, winning the 40-49 age division by 3:29 and setting a new team record for the distance.

Yes, we’re serious when we advertise that membership is open 24/7/365 to interested athletes anywhere. The latest addition that we’re lucky to have in Valerie Clouse of Cambridge, OH. Valerie has bests of 12:55.14 for the Mile and 39:05 for 5 km and is looking to improve those times and continuing to enjoy competing in races with a goal of making the podium at Nationals in the future!
  • Popov 5th at Coast Guard 15 km
Alexey Popov finished 5th overall in the Coast Guard 15 km run in Portsmouth, VA with a time of 1:03:58. The performance was also 1st in the 40-49 division and a new team record for the distance. 113 athletes finished the race.
