Best Race Walking Team in the USA Open to new members 24/7/365
  • Pryor & Clemmons Win At SE Masters
Richmond, VA saw the combined excellence of Keith Pryor and Patricia Clemmons at the Southeast Masters Championship. Pryor (M50-54) won the 5000m Race Walk overall in 35:28.08. Patricia (W65-69) was 2nd overall, winning her age group in 39:36.07 to set a new team record by 13 seconds.

Patricia continued her day by taking medals in the Long Jump (2.01m – 2nd), Triple Jump (5.93m – 1st), and High Jump (0.95m – 1st). The TJ performance is another team record.

Team scoring ended with the Men in 22nd place (10 pts) and Women in 11th place (38 pts).
  • Crawford 11th At Pan Am Champs
Jordan Crawford finished in 11th place in the Half Marathon Race Walk at the Pan American Athletics Championships in Medellín, Colombia in a time of 1:38:30.
  • Armstrong Up To The Challenge
Cher Armstrong finished 5th overall, and 2nd woman, in the 1812 Challenge Half Marathon. She completed the Sackets Harbor, NY course in a new PR and team record of 1:42:38, a 2 minute improvement from her best set in 2025.
  • 3000 Reasons To Smile
The morning of June 27 saw 3 of the Raleigh Walkers competing over 3000m in 2 separate meets. Avery Rudolph (W17-18) won the North Carolina Junior Olympic Championship overall in a time of 21:28.15. Annabelle Burnell (W13-14) was second overall and won her division in 23:23.06. Both times are team age group records and personal best performances.

Alexa Governor, competing at the Niagara Championship in NY, won the 3000m in 14:47.81. Her time is a new team overall record for the distance, breaking the one she set earlier this year of 15:30.60 during the Alan Connie Invitational in Myrtle Beach.

Cher Armstrong ran to a strong 34th place overall finish at the Alan Jones Vestal 20 km race, one that has over 840 feet of elevation gain. Her time of 1:45:28 was 9th for the women and 5th in the 30-39 age group.
  • Medals Galore At Jim Law
The Jim Law Invite, on the campus of UNC Charlotte, served as the NC 5000m Championship and the Raleigh Walkers swept all of the awards. We also had medal winners in the 80m Hurdles, 400m, 800m, 1500m, Long Jump & Javelin, to end the day with 13 golds, 1 silver & 6 team records across all events.   • Strawberry Fields Forever
Cher Armstrong finished as 2nd woman and 11th overall at the Owego Strawberry Festival 5 km with a time of 22:18 against a field of 390 competitors.
  • Welcoming Annabelle
Just in time for the NC Junior Olympic Championships, we’re able to welcome Annabelle Burnell to the roster. Annabelle will be competing in her 1st judged event on 6/27, where she’ll be racing in the 13-14 3000m. She has gained lots of valuable experience at the Godiva TC summer meets where she is regularly a top finisher at both the 1500m & Mile.
